We Are Light

Jesus, the Light of the World, came to save us—but He did so much more than that. He didn’t just save us and give us eternal life; He made us light too. As products of His salvation and the new creation, we now carry the DNA and nature of God within us. This means we don’t have to live the way we did before we were born again. Instead, we can walk in the life and light He has made us to be and has made available to us.

In this devotional, we are reminded of who God has made us to be in Christ. It’s an encouragement to celebrate our inheritance as sons and daughters of the Light and to embrace the fact that He has called us to be lights of the world.

So, as you go about your Christmas preparations—shopping, writing cards to loved ones, and decorating your tree—remember this: you are not an ordinary person. You are someone whom Jesus indwells and has transformed into a new creation. He calls you the light of the world.
